With today's King County tabulation, it has become apparent that our campaign will not be successful. I want to congratulate Tammy Morales on her hard-fought win. While I may not be your next councilmember, I will still be here, working every day for the betterment of our city.
Watching for results tonight at The Royal Esquire in Columbia City. Whatever the outcome, we'll be celebrating a hard fought race, run from the beginning for the voters of D2.
It's #ElectionDay! We'll be sharing updates all day on Seattle and Bellevue city council races, car-tab fees, the fate of affirmative action in Washington state and more. https://t.co/07DqEHAxLp
“I left three days ago, but no one seems to know I’m gone/
Home is where the hatred is; home is filled with pain/
And it may not be such a bad idea if I never...never went home again.”
@iamthematch @SeattleChannel As a Black Man, I take exception to being charaterized as ANYONE'S property, bought or paid for. No. One. Owns. Me. Check your racist crap.
"What it comes down to is who the voters feel is the best advocate for them on City Council to work with the Council in partnership and collaboration to actually get things done." Public forums and debates may be over, but you can still watch this D2 piece from @SeattleChannel
One is a community organizer & the other is a crime-prevention coordinator. Now Tammy Morales & Mark Solomon are vying to represent District 2 on @SeattleCouncil. Full City Inside/Out episode w/ @callananseattle here: https://t.co/KyIZk7VmXK

https://t.co/5RiAJus56s @nwasianweekly , thank you for taking the time to reach out to candidates and ask some the questions your readers care most about including Seattle's immigrant population and homelessness in our city.
Excited to announce Mark's latest endorsement from Ron Sims, former King County Executive and Deputy Secretary for US Housing and Urban Development under President Obama.
So proud of what @AfricatownSEA has accomplished for our community and grateful to be here tonight for the LAST of the candidate forums before ballots are due 11/5. #ShowdownInAfricatown
Thank you @ericacbarnett for taking the time to produce these candidate interviews for voters. I appreciated the chance to talk about my priorities for public safety and the homelessness crisis in Seattle. https://t.co/Umy09mh8Xz
Ballots are out for delivery. Please consider hosting a ballot party for your neighbors to help encourage everyone to use their vote. If you live in D2, let us know when and where you are hosting so we can arrange to have Mark stop by, share his priorities, and answer questions!
