When I ran for State Senate, I thought it was all about issues. Along the way I met people who became part of the fabric of my life. Phil was such a friend and supporter.I hope his next life is filled with color and comfort.  He earned that with his exemplary life. I'll miss him.

I’m glad the Pentagon is finally releasing this footage, but it only scratches the surface of research and materials available. The U.S. needs to take a serious, scientific look at this and any potential national security implications. The American people deserve to be informed.

So, Speaker Moore, no to Medicaid Exp. - providing health care to neediest citizens, bringing back billions of our own tax dollars, getting services back to rural people; but yes to NASCAR?  We all want things to be 'normal' again; but at what cost in lives? Priorities?

As we get more and more into this Stay at Home stuff, I am noticing that people are becoming more cavalier about staying safe.  Together we can flatten the curve.  Together we can save lives.  Protect yourself, your families and friends.

Educators know: What do our immigrant parents wish for their children? They want their children to grow to be "independent, respected, respectful." Sounds like almost every parent I met in my 44 year career. We must see into hearts and minds. We must remember our common humanity.

If the Congressional District is rewritten, let's hope it is rewritten in an honest fashion.  Then, if more people jump in we will have a primary.  Not a bad thing.  This will sharpen all candidates in the hardworking campaign ahead and produce a strong candidate.

In 2018's NC Senate campaign I ran in the 48th Senate  District.  I often wished that my home away from home, the Swannanoa Valley, was in the district.  In the newly drawn map, it is!   Hmmmmmmm.  Spoiler?
