Just think what $1 billion in subsidies would do to connect electrical grids across Canada or support clean tech companies to sell their products around the world. #energy#cdnpoli
For your weekend reading pleasure...
My first piece for @TheAtlantic is up. It's my take on what is going on at a macro level across the world. I hope you enjoy it, or they will not ask me to do another one: https://t.co/nDW4gsCNZN
None of us will ever nor should we ever be forgiven for our lack of action, our lack of intervention, our silence, and our complicity. We should be all ashamed. We should be doing everything in our individual and collective powers to stop this horror and carnage.
It's another Doors Closed weekend for kids wanting to play, learn, and grow at the Ontario Science Centre.

This was a busy week at Queen's Park.
I was excited to work with Bobbi Ann Brady to put forward our bill to protect farmland in Ontario by creating Foodbelt.
Opposition continues to mount against Bill 5, an extraordinary power grab by the Ford government.
And finally the government released their budget which focuses more on highways and tunnels than investing in people.

"To make up for his carbon footprint, the EPA’s calculator suggests that Drake would have to plant 376 tree seedlings and make sure they survive for at least a decade"
I always knew @Drake wasn’t just a constituent here in Don Valley West - he’s a Liberal!
If your house is like Drake’s and missing a Rob Oliphant lawn sign, you can get yours at https://t.co/QgGo7doF5S!
April Fools!
While we’re still waiting for Drake’s lawn sign request, Trump’s attack on our country is no joke.

76% of Canadians support electoral reform—so why are our leaders ignoring it?
@CanadianGreens MP @morricemike is calling proportional representation, but partisan roadblocks stand in the way.
It's time to make every vote count!

Investing in clean, green energy instead of dirty, expensive gas will lower energy bills for folks across the province.
We should be ramping up solar and wind projects to keep energy costs down in this period of uncertainty.

Fascism doesn’t start with soldiers in the streets. It starts with deciding who is expendable.
The sick. The disabled. The aging.
The refugees. The immigrants. The outsiders.
The people who think too much, speak too loudly, refuse to bow. 1/2
That's a tough one to watch, @MarkJCarney. This move exempts a large share of Canadian emissions from carbon pricing and, IMO, sets up the downfall of emissions pricing in general. That doesn't mean inaction, but it either means choosing more expensive or less effective action.
