@klynchk@itvcycling @ITV4 @ImlachHair@Petekennaugh@Chris_Boardman 2. It’s available in HD via the Sky platform and also via ITV Hub plus. I can only suggest that you contact Virgin Media to find out why they don’t offer the HD feed.
@klynchk@itvcycling @ITV4 @ImlachHair@Petekennaugh@Chris_Boardman Hi Kevin,
1. Tour de France for ITV4 has been produced in HD for over 10 years. There is insufficient bandwidth to broadcast it on Freeview but I have no idea why Virgin Media cannot give you the HD feed.
@PScotfree @itvcycling Hi Peter. ITV 4 has been in HD for 10 years. However there is in sufficient bandwidth to carry it on Freeview. So Sky platform or subscribe to ITV Hub+ to see the Tour in all its glory.
@TroubleDads @SmithyWFC85@dauphine@itvcycling @Eurosport_UK Well the programme isn’t scheduled until 10pm. We send the prog to ITV Hub by 8pm if you want to see it earlier. Standard Hub is free. Hub + gets you no ads and HD. There’s a 7 day free trial for that, which gets you to the end of the Dauphiné.
@SmithyWFC85 @TroubleDads @dauphine@itvcycling @Eurosport_UK The problem is that no one knows when the tennis will finish in advance. There’s a live evening game, which in theory should be ove by 10pm, hence the scheduled start time for the cycling. But the match can go on for longer. The hub has the programme on by 8pm.
@QueenoftheBerri @itvcycling Hi. I am advised that it takes time to add the subtitles to the Hub. WE are obviously rushing the programme through to get it uploaded as soon as possible. You should find subtitles get added the following day.
@Cuddy75@jfduncan @ITV4 @itvcycling @itvhub Well they should be because there no clash on ITV4 with other sports in July. This year the French Open is delayed by a week due to COVID and the Dauphine is a week early so that the TdF can be early to avoid clashing with Olympics.
@jfduncan@Cuddy75 @ITV4 @itvcycling @itvhub @ITV I know that the Hub can be frustrating but its the only way to get the program out a bit earlier. Subscribing to hub+ does buy you out of the ads and gives you HD as well.
@jfduncan@Cuddy75 @ITV4 @itvcycling @itvhub @ITV The problem is that the French Open was delayed by a week due to Covid. The live evening match starts at 8pm. So we can’t get on until the Tennis finishes. If the tennis had run a week earlier then no live evening game in the 2nd week so there would not have been a clash.
@Cuddy75@jfduncan @ITV4 @itvcycling @itvhub I can assure you there’s is no such agenda. ITV4 can’t show both the tennis and the cycling at the same time, which forces us from the usual slot. Putting it on the Hub earlier is being done to make the program available earlier for those that want it.
@SimonHendy @Eurosport_UK @itvcycling The problem is the live tennis which can of course over run. Not much we can do but we are sending the programme to ITV Hub ahead of the scheduled TX time. So it should be available by about 8pm
@hbscouse@dauphine @Eurosport_UK @nedboulting @itvcycling Keep an eye on ITV Hub. The highlights should be available before the TX time on the tele. Hopefully by 8pm
@GeoffBrewer@itvcycling @ITV4 @BritishCycling Well I suppose there are those who want to watch Darts! We hope the highlights will be up on the Hub by 20.30. Fingers crossed!
