Day 273 - video #1 of 2026
I'm 30, no more waiting
this journey means nothing if it's not shared
So, I'm opening a new arc & officially committing to videos every single day ๐ซก
I'll do everything I can to grow this year
Day 13 of 30 days marketing challenge
-> https://t.co/p0PvsYbO3x
#23/144 on @Peerlist ! All the marketing is around that launch but still:
- Fixed the nav links with anchors (because of params in the url when coming from directories, didn't even notice this whole week... Thanks @tomas_boda)
- More DMs, giving feedback to others too
- Few Reddit comments

LET'S FUCKING GOOOOO ๐๐
first sale since the v2 with the new pricing
I needed this to happen to be honest, but wasn't expecting it as I still have low volume. great validation ๐๐ป
Launch + hard paywall = ๐
removed my free plan the night before being live on PH
โ 6 sales in 2 days
I almost made that usual mistake of thinking "more free users = more virality"
maybe if you've got a huge audience
or you just get stuck at $0 with no real validation

Remove your free plan.
Free users are leeches. They increase support, server costs, and make you build features your paying customers donโt want.
Less than 3% of free users ever convert.
VC startups can afford free plans because theyโre optimizing for growth, not profit.
If youโre an indie founder, never give away your product for free.
FOR FUCK SAKE ๐ค๐ค๐ค
someone must have opted-out or uninstalled the app or something
now I need to start again from scratch
I HATE this closed testing bullshit
@jackfriks@postbridge_@lovelee_app How can you hard paywall on a couple app anyway, as it involves 2 people who have to be paired
and highly likely to need one of them to "experience" the app first?
@Szut What type of account did you create? I went for personal account that's why....
It's started with 12 testers atm, I'll let you know if someone leaves again lol, thanks!

Yeah I think you should ; no problem with a free trial but the shorter it is the better for you (quicker feedback loop, users are more engaged etc)
For PH launch you could add a lifetime deal, with the launch hype some people just want to buy instantly without bothering with subscriptions
1 month free trial sounds crazy long for such a "simple" tool. I guess 7 days or even 3 days would be enough for a user to test and feel the value
But hard paywall directly could convert the same, if even more. Only reason why someone would want to try it first is if they're not sure it'd work on their stream, with their device/type of watch etc
if you answer that already on the landing page and prove it, hard paywall would just be better
I see it kind of as SuperShrimp by @marclou
@offpaths feels like every platform tends towards doing everything lol
so is that encouraging reacting to stuff instead of creating stuff?
hope the feed doesn't become just people reacting to memes in videos lol
