An inspiring visit to Tsinghua University in Beijing today—one of the world’s leading universities and a globally recognized center of academic and research excellence.
It was a privilege to address students and faculty on WADA’s evolution since its creation and the many dimensions of our mission to protect clean sport, from testing, scientific research and anti-doping education to Intelligence & Investigations, compliance, innovation and the challenges facing sport today.
The panel discussion that followed provided a valuable opportunity to engage directly with students. Their thoughtful questions, curiosity and global perspective were particularly impressive and reinforced the importance of involving future leaders in conversations about integrity and fair play.
Our independent Intelligence and Investigations Department hosted the fourth in-person meeting of its Sport Human Intelligence Network (SHIN) in Tokyo, Japan.
Supported by the Japan Anti-Doping Agency and the Japan Sport Council, the two-day meeting brought together representatives from 17 organizations to discuss a number of themes, including:
✅ Intelligence collection in high-risk sports
✅ Safeguards around sharing confidential sources with partner agencies
✅ Source protection measures, with a particular focus on 2.11 Retaliation cases
