आज #SujalGramSamvad के दौरान गुजरात के मेहसाणा ज़िले के ज़ाहिरपुरा गाँव के प्रतिनिधियों से संवाद करने का अवसर मिला। गाँव में पेयजल व्यवस्था को लेकर लोगों के अनुभव, जल जीवन मिशन से उनके जीवन में आए परिवर्तन और इसे बेहतर बनाने के लिए उनके विचार सीधे सुनने को मिले।

इस संवाद में गुजरात जल जीवन मिशन की टीम और मेहसाणा जिला प्रशासन ने बताया कि कैसे स्वयं सहायता समूह पानी की व्यवस्था के संचालन और रखरखाव में अहम भूमिका निभा रहे हैं, स्कूलों और आंगनवाड़ियों में नियमित रूप से पानी की जाँच हो रही है और गाँव के लोगों को खुद पानी की गुणवत्ता जाँचने का प्रशिक्षण भी दिया गया ।

Under the Augementation of Barwala seven Group Water Supply Scheme of the Water Supply Department, more than 1.2 lakh people from 30 villages and 1 town in Barwala, Dhandhuka, Dholera, and Vallabhipur talukas are benefiting from clean, adequate, and safe drinking water.

Under the Kadana Bulk Pipeline-based Zalod North and South Regional Water Supply Scheme of the Water Supply Department, projects are in progress to provide treated water from the 32 MLD Water Treatment Plant to 54 villages of Zalod Taluka in Dahod District.

The Mahi-based Bagasara Group Improvement Water Supply Scheme under the Water Supply Department is under progress.
Upon completion, 39 villages and 1 town in Amreli, Bagasara, and Kunkavav-Vadia talukas of Amreli district will benefit from safe drinking water.

Under the Handod Group Water Supply Scheme of the Water Supply Department, 33 villages of Sankheda taluka in Chhota Udepur district will receive pure, adequate, and potable drinking water.

Under the Dharoi Dam–based Dharoi Group Augmentation Scheme (Part-2) of the Water Supply Department, 44 villages of Satlasana and Kheralu talukas in Mehsana district are receiving pure, adequate, and safe drinking water.

Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri @narendramodi inaugurated a ₹181 crore Group Water Supply Scheme at Dahod, benefiting 193 villages and 1 town of Mahisagar and Dahod districts. Over 4.61 lakh people now have access to adequate and safe drinking water.

Under the S.K.-1 Augmentation Package-1 Scheme implemented by the Water Supply Department, 66 villages and 1 town of Talod and Prantij talukas in Sabarkantha district are receiving clean, adequate, and safe drinking water.

On 20 September 2025, Hon’ble Prime Minister @narendramodi inaugurated the ₹38.27 crore Junagadh-Vanthali augmentation regional Water Supply Scheme, providing safe and sufficient drinking water to 1.78 lakh residents of 38 villages in Junagadh and Vanthali talukas

Under the Water Supply Department, WASMO with UNICEF support has launched pilot activities on Community-Led Water Budgeting to raise awareness among villagers about the importance and management of water resources.

As part of the Vikas Saptah, the @WSDGujarat visited various schools and Anganwadis across different talukas of Porbandar district. During visit, children were educated about the importance of clean drinking water, benefits of proper handwashing, and the need to maintain hygiene.
