"CTE is associated with playing contact sports in former athletes who donated their brain to a CTE brain bank" would be more appropriate.
Interesting that Huntington's disease (HD) researchers do not claim that CAG repeats cause suicide in HD patients. In contrast, some #CTE researchers characterize suicide as a core symptom, resulting from the presence of abnormal tau. Go figure.
