My father, Shah Mahmood Qureshi, has been admitted to PKLI. He has lived with gallbladder stones for years, and in 2023, while incarcerated in Adiala Jail, doctors had advised surgery after his condition deteriorated. He chose not to undergo any procedures then unwilling to do so while in solitary confinement.

Since then, the stones have increased in size, and surgery is now unavoidable. We await the doctors’ final report and a confirmed date for the operation. He is undergoing baselines tests especially considering, he also suffered a cardiac emergency earlier this year while in Kot Lakhpat Jail.

What remains deeply painful is knowing that he is not alone in this suffering. Every single PTI leader and worker who has endured imprisonment over the past year has faced serious health consequences under inhumane and unjust conditions. Many continue to battle the effects of prolonged confinement, neglect and isolation including the mighty *Dr Yasmin Chaudhry, Mian Mahnood ur Rasheed, Umer Cheema and Senator Ejaz Chaudry. Some of our workers have also lost their lives whilst unjustly imprisoned.

Please keep them all, my father, Khan Sahib, Bushra Bibi and every imprisoned worker, supporter and leader, in your prayers. Their endurance under such cruelty is a reminder of both the cost and the courage of standing by one’s convictions.

Salat-ul-Shukar prayers were offered by the #PakistanArmy, Pakistan Rangers Sindh and #Pakistan Coast Guard in Karachi for the success of Operation Bunyanum Marsoos

Corps Commander Karachi Lieutenant General Muhammad Avais Dastgir offered Salat-ul-Shukar prayers with officers and soldiers of the Pakistan Army.

DG Rangers Sindh, Divisional Headquarters Malir, Hyderabad, Pannu Aqil and Pakistan Coast Guards also offered prayers of thanks on the occasion of the victory of the Pakistan Army.

On the occasion of the Salat-ul-Shukar prayer, we prostrated before Allah, the Almighty, who proved the Pakistani army a leaden wall in front of the cunning enemy India and granted victory.

After offering the Salat-ul-Shukar prayer, the Corps Commander went to the soldiers who were always ready on the occasion of the Karachi war and paid tribute to them.

The Corps Commander said that the Pakistan Army is proud of its brave soldiers and they are the crown of our nation.

On this occasion, the combat-ready military forces raised slogans in support of Pakistan upon the arrival of the Corps Commander.

The Corps Commander congratulated all officers and men on the victory of Operation Bunyanum Marsoos and appreciated their preparations and enthusiasm during the war.

The Corps Commander also visited an Air Force soldier injured at Bolari Air Base during Operation Bunyanum Marsoos
