Yes and the protocol states:
“The VAR can ‘check’ the footage in normal speed and/or in slow motion but, in general, slow motion replays should only be used for facts, e.g. position of offence/player, point of contact for physical offences and handball, ball out of play (including goal/no goal); normal speed should be used for the ‘intensity’ of an offence or to decide if it was a handball offence”
So them slowing the video isn’t against protocol at all…
@THR33P4RTM1K3@ChrisBurgerTN@ClayTravis so there’s more context to what happened… Son fouled Gomez snapping his ankle and received a red card and 3 MATCH SUSPENSION. What was overturned wasn’t the red card or the one match suspension that comes with it… what was overturned wasn’t the 3 match suspension
@TrustDave@usmntonly Casuals will appear and disappear every 4 years. Americans getting intrigued with the World Cup and its atmosphere will not find it at MLS games…
Americans complaining about Balogun’s red card since it was soft… yet this was given a straight red in the Qatar game because the Canadian player broke his leg. So if the Bosnian snapped his ankle in that play the red is justified ?
