@BGobannos@Nanovargas44@AzilizWilliams1@FOXSports They showed the ball’s sensor tracking way too fast for it to have been faked, the law definitely needs to be changed though bc it’s absolutely ridiculous to disallow a goal due to hair.
@lxckycrypto@FOXSports Apparently the ball’s sensors caught a slight touch from the player’s hair. Technically correct but it feels like total bs to disallow a goal because of HAIR.
@WC26Center@usmntonly People are disagreeing like Kone didn’t get his leg broken in a similar challenge during Canada v Qatar… legitimate attempt to play the ball gone wrong, dangerous contact made completely on accident, still a red card. Everyone accepts that bc of Kone’s injury, but not this one?
@tdtommy85@WC26Center@LAallday56deuce@usmntonly Endangers the safety of an opponent OR uses excessive force. Doesn’t have to be both, either one qualifies for a red. It’s an unfortunate mistake on the player’s behalf but it absolutely does meet the qualifications for a red card.

@abarriosr@FOXSoccer Offside is penalized the moment an attacker is involved in play, but marked based on their position when a teammate last touched the ball. Saves by the goalkeeper do not reset their initial position marked.
@sleepyone1414@FOXSoccer Offside does not reset on saves or deflections from the defending team - it has to be a controlled play to negate it, otherwise it’s still judged by the last touch by an attacker.
@jawad4484895@youneshhamou_ The player receiving the ball is judged offside based on his position when his TEAMMATE last plays it. Educate yourself instead of blaming others for your own lack of knowledge.
@BrokampT@PFTCommenter That’s what the initial check was for (it can’t be a goal directly off a hand/arm) but since the arm was being used as support when falling and his teammate plays it afterwards it’s not a call. VAR caught the offside right after ruling no on handling.
@nease_noah@PFTCommenter You’re one play too far ahead - the offside call is made when his teammate last touches the ball, not when he receives it (and shoots)
