Pickings OCs certainly wasn't a strength for Lovie Smith in the NFL. Given that he's so defense-centric, the OC hire is the most important one for Lovie. He usually has a guy in mind. But he has to get it right.

@ALionEye There's plenty to blame. Missed goaltending call. Missed FT's. I personally feel a rule change needs to happen regarding teams going to the bench during reviews (questionable reviews gave Maryland two extra timeouts).

But it's all back to that first four minutes.

Everyone will talk about the non-goaltending, but the turning point in regulation was two questionable "reviews" by the officials. Maryland, out of timeouts at the 4-minute mark, got two extra timeouts in the last minute. That HAS to be addressed in the offseason.
