In the 1930s, a campus-wide contest was held to choose our mascot.
The finalists were the Catamount and Mountain Boomer (which, if you didn’t know, is a squirrel).
After many years, we’ve made the decision to become the Mountain Boomers.
Welcome to the Boomer family!🐿️

As we approach the end of July, remember that in NCAA DI football, telephone calls to prospective student-athletes are not permitted during the month of August.
We are incredibly proud and happy for our intern @killianmcclain who accepted a paid role at Norfolk State University. Coach Killian dedicated countless hours of UNPAID work to the betterment of our sports performance department and did a phenomenal job at WCU. Congrats Coach❗
📣 We're providing $500 emergency grants to enrolled undergraduate AND graduate students who qualify for assistance in payment of fall 2021 semester billing charges❗Click 👇 for details.
Thinking about making an in-person recruiting contact? Well think again. July is littered with dead periods so make sure to check your recruiting calendar before contacting prospective student-athletes
#tbt because South Park has good characters. Even if a prospect receives a COVID-19 Waiver through the @ncaaec they need to have their high school upload their final transcript with proof of graduation.
