📰The working group, made up of local authority leaders, chief executives and independent local government experts, has published a series of recommendations aimed at setting Welsh local government on a more sustainable footing.

The group’s statement and supporting paper are based on the work of the group and independent evidence examined over the past year. They reflect the need to reform the local government finance system; streamline and strengthen accountability and performance measurement processes; address skills gaps; and invest in building capacity for innovation.
