@SandraH_CY @Beska Excellent! Non-iodized salt, methylene blue, praziquantel, and Epsom salt are good to keep on hand. A hospital tank should be empty except for a strong aerator. No filter because mblue kills all beneficial bacteria, so a hospital tank will need frequent partial water changes.

@tenhinas @ElizabethMilne1 @Beska I agree he tried. Adding another fish to her small tank probably wasn't a good idea. Simple salt has healing powers (directions online). Not biting heads. These are mistakes fishkeepers make. Goldfish are a lot of work. They're for people more committed to fish than the set-up.

@Beska I hope you have a siphon kit to change the water every week, plus a gravel vacuum! And lots of water conditioner like Seachem Prime. Goldfish poop a LOT.

@LLinkowsky @Beska @alicebeska Please don't keep plecos with goldfish. They suck on goldfish slime, especially on a sick or sleeping fish, causing deadly infections. Many people already keep them together, always a risk, and often discover strange scaleless patches on their fish and wonder what happened.
