It isn't very often when I watch an Iowa State game & have to look up who a player is. That happened last week with Rylan Barnes - a RS Fr. walk-on linebacker and the pride of Britt, Iowa & West Hancock High School legend. Tonight, he made his first start as a Cyclone and had NINE tackles! He was incredible!

Making the story even more compelling: Mom and dad Barnes couldn't find time to make the trip. Harvest.✊ That's as Iowan as it comes.

Let's hope that the crops turn out great and Rylan's family can be in Ames next week when the top-10 Cyclones will take on UCF in another Jack Trice night game.

West Fork boys basketball takes down Nashua-Plainfield to advance to the district semifinal! The Warhawks will take on Dunkerton in Dunkerton on Thursday at 7:00. All tickets will need to be purchased online ahead of time.
