Nigerian Poll. Interesting football conversation and context is in next tweet.
Would you rather Nigeria wins the AFCON tournament or go to the World Cup?

@AyoOyalowo@Sir_Ruffy Like. The only time I can recall a player scoring and thinking of an official was when Thierry Henry was asked to retake a free kick.
The linesman was correct in this instance, he was offside and he should have known VAR would give the goal if he hadn’t been. Needless yellow
@LeyeAkinola This is awful but that’s because one would expect a certain standard. But maybe his standard is the gutter so he wouldn’t even see it if you highlighted it to him.
To change the anthem of a country, you didn’t consult your constituency, where 70% of them have no affinity nor beholden nostalgia to the old anthem;
For such an important identity, you had more than half the NASS seats empty and did it an opaque debate with entire process- without well-known public hearing - not lasting more than 5 days;
Against the advice of the AG, you didn’t even consult the states, despite ours being the FEDERAL Republic of Nigeria;
You didn’t even try to review grammatical errors or use of “brotherhood” in a new era of representation;
Not even the historical element that the tune had colonial fingerprints;
After weakening the institution to fulfill a childhood fantasy, you want to criminalize dissent;
Honestly, the thought pattern and lack of self-awareness that birthed the obnoxious bill sponsored by a leader of a People’s Assembly deserves to be further interrogated.
I am honored to fulfill my promise by distributing 24 First Class Toyota Jeeps to the dedicated members of the Kebbi State House of Assembly for their official engagements. Today, at the Government House in Birnin Kebbi, I personally presented these vehicles, expressing gratitude for the Assembly’s cooperation and understanding. The harmonious working relationship between the Executive Arm and the Assembly has been paramount.
In the spirit of collaboration, I joined the Speaker of the Assembly, Rt. Hon. Usman Muhammad Ankwe, in a test drive of the Jeep allocated to him. Let this be a symbol of our commitment to serving the people of Kebbi State diligently.
Even if meant as a joke it shows his level of insensitivity. We already knew he did not care about optics.
If not meant as a joke, it’s a reminder to all of us the kind of leader we had for eight years.
