Divers who exceed the maximum speed limit are rightfully fined. Can something be done about people who drive 20-30km/hr in the fast lane? and on the highways, please? 🙄😮💨😶🌫️ #drivingwoes#RoadSafety#Thimphu#Paro@rstabhutan@RBP
What guarantee can be given by Bhutan?
Can it stand up to China and refuse to demarcate the boundary and wait for further PLA incursion into its territory?
It is checkmate by China.

Heartiest Tashi Delek to the @bhutanpdp (PDP) and President Dasho @tsheringtobgay for securing 30 seats and the mandate to form Bhutan's next government! May your leadership be imbued with wisdom and your actions guided by the best interests of the nation.
This election results leaves me profoundly sad… the east once again forgot to strategise and think of the bigger picture .. this lack of imagination from a populace that could leave a lasting impression is absolutely heartbreaking 💔 #bhutanelection2024
Congratulations to PDP - people trusted you to be our government. Congratulations to BTP - not bad for a debutant. An apparent division by region is a disappointment. Hope PDP doesn’t take it personally? Some big names are out - that is politics. May the country win from this.
Why do our political candidates keep harping on the years of service? Was it free or voluntary? Salary ++++, trainings, education and hidden benefits borne by the RGOB-no sense of gratitude! Shocking!!
Five years of regression for Bhutan under @DrukNyamrup
- reserves below constitutional requirement
-1.5% growth p.a
- high unemployment
- emigration
- service degradation all around
- low morale & increasing corruption
- no vision & plan
The elections couldn't come sooner.
The more I deal with public service agencies the more I'm convinced that there's no legal protection for law abiding citizens in #Bhutan anymore. #democracy has killed any semblance of order and justice. Public agencies seem scared to take on crooks and troublemakers.
@CRRinzin@FRANCE24 I worry about international media glorifying Bhutan's carbon negative status & conservationists pushing for more forest protection. This would be fatal. What Bhutan's overstocked forest need on an urgent basis is thinning for an ecologically sound & climate resilient forest.
Sustainable forestry is an important goal in international forest agreements. Bhutan has always got wrong with its forest policy. Sad to hear Govt is going to keep forest under lock. We can't hope to become a high-income country without bringing forest on board.
Firstly we don't see the wealth. Secondly we squander it. The economy is in distress & youths in thousands emigrating the country. It is long due Bhutan wake up to the big difference between conservation & ecofascism.
