We are a group of local people who have formed a charity to raise money for a statue to commemorate our mining ancestors. It will be placed in the town centre.

The statues are ready in Steve Winterburn's Yorkshire studio. The Wigan groundwork has begun despite the weather. We will soon announce the unveiling date. Thank you to our supporters for helping to make this a reality, but donations towards the target are still welcome.#Mining
