We held our first meeting in @FoWHLNW6
30 people turned up to hear about #CommunitySponsorship
A year later we welcomed a #refugee family to @NW6!

We encourage our families to make use of all the resources libraries have to offer!

Nearly two years since we had our Community Sponsorship Project approved by the Home Office, we are suffering from the housing crisis and unable to find an affordable home for a refugee family. Help us? Contact [email protected]

Devastated to hear that our founder @NeilJamesonUK has passed away.

Neil was a Community Sponsorship trailblazer and an integral force in launching Sponsor Refugees. With an uncapped resilience, he welcomed and supported communities to welcome refugee families into safety.

[Mayor of London, Sadiq Khan @MayorofLondon]

Neil Jameson was tireless in campaigning for social justice and his commitment and passion improved the lives of thousands of Londoners across our city.

He will be much missed, but his legacy will live on. My thoughts are with his family and friends today.

[West Hampstead Welcomes 🧡 @WH_Welcomes]

Always supportive and helpful to #CommunitySponsorship groups…
we are sadden by his passing.

May he #RIP

[James Asfa @JamesAsfa]

Grieving today for a giant of a human being: Neil Jameson.

In founding @CitizensUK he revitalised a form of politics that was focused on ordinary people and their institutions - two things he loved more than anyone I’ve ever met.

May he rest in power

The most beautiful & moving morning in Camden as our community celebrated Passover & Easter with #LittleAmal

We came together to send a strong message that Camden is a Borough of Sanctuary where refugees will always be welcome.

Join us later for Ramadan https://t.co/gZ1vmzVidP

[Mayor of London, Sadiq Khan @MayorofLondon]

#LittleAmal represents the millions of displaced children forced to leave their homes in desperate situations. It’s wonderful to see her back in London after two years.

She returns with a message that’s never been more important: Refugees are welcome here.

Community Sponsorship provides #safe #legal routes for refugees to come to the UK.

It also gives refugees a ready made community of welcome and support.

This hero was rescued after 5 days underneath the rubble in the Syria-Türkiye earthquake. What an embodiment of hope in the face of all the darkness. 🙏

[Little Amal (The Walk) @walkwithamal]

We are shocked and deeply saddened at the news of the devastating earthquake in Turkey and Syria.

Our thoughts are with everyone affected including the people of Gaziantep and Adana who were so welcoming of Amal when she began her walk.
