Since December 2017, WHO has documented:
- more than 10 400 attacks on health care
- across 29 countries and territories,
- resulting in more than 5700 deaths and 8500 injuries.
Every attack puts lives at risk, deprives people of essential care and undermines the ability of health systems to respond when people are in need of urgent care.
Stop attacks on health care.
#WorldHumanitarianDay
#ActForHumanity
In 2026 alone, 911 health workers and patients have lost their lives to attacks on health care across 19 countries and territories. And nearly 1486 others have suffered injuries.
Often health workers put their duty of care above their own safety. Their loss leaves behind a grieving family, community, and a fragile health system.
Today is World Humanitarian Day.
We repeat.
HEALTH IS NEVER A TARGET.
Stop attacks on health care.

For today's youth the digital world isn't separate from real life, it's part of it.
The content they consume, the interactions they have, and the experiences they navigate online can influence their mental health, sleep, diets, learning and relationships.
Recognising this doesn't mean banning screens.
It's about creating safer digital environments and equipping young people with the support, trust and guidance they need to thrive, both online and offline.

Vaccines protect people at every stage of life: from a child’s first days through adulthood and beyond.
In early childhood, immune systems are still developing, leaving young children more vulnerable to serious illness. That’s why most routine vaccines are given in the first two years of life, offering protection when it matters most.
As children grow into their teenage years, booster doses help keep that protection strong and respond to new and emerging health risks.
During pregnancy, vaccination plays a crucial role in protecting both parent and baby. Recommended vaccines help pass protective antibodies to babies before birth, giving them a safer start in life.
In adulthood and older age, the immune system naturally becomes less robust. Vaccines help reduce the risk of severe illness and hospitalization, helping people stay healthy and live longer.
Vaccination is about care, prevention and giving every generation the chance to learn, grow and thrive.

🚨 Misusing antibiotics can affect everyone.

Did you know?
Nearly 20 million children in 2025 were unvaccinated or under-vaccinated. For every 3 children not fully vaccinated:
👉🏽2 never received a single dose
👉🏽1 started their vaccination but never completed the schedule.
Vaccination schedules can help you know when your child needs each dose, so they get protection when it matters most.
Not sure what’s next?
Check your child’s vaccination schedule or ask a health care provider.
Staying up to date with vaccines is one simple way to help protect your child’s health.
What are you doing today to take care of yourself and your health and well-being?
These could be small habits. Or big changes. Every action you take to protect your health matters.
