Hon. Hamida Hassan (Sarauniyah Hamnah)

Hon. Hamida Hassan, popularly known as Sarauniyah Hamnah, is a distinguished public servant, women mobiliser, political strategist, community leader, and media personality from Dutse Local Government Area of Jigawa State.

She currently serves as Special Assistant to the Jigawa State Governor, H.E. Dr. Umar A. Namadi, on Basic Education Monitoring, where she contributes to strengthening education monitoring and supporting initiatives aimed at improving the quality of basic education across the state.

She also serves as a Media Aide to the First Lady of Jigawa State, Hajiya Hadiza Umar A. Namadi, supporting strategic communication and public engagement.

As a dedicated women mobiliser and advocate for women’s participation in leadership, Hon. Hamida is passionate about bringing women together, amplifying their voices, and creating opportunities for their meaningful participation in governance and national development.

She also serves as the Zonal Woman Coordinator, Sokoto East, CityBoy Movement, where she plays an active role in mobilising women and strengthening grassroots political engagement across her zone.
