Diogo Dalot on his daughter:
“This April, Clara had to spend some time in hospital. They had to take her blood. They put syringes in her skin. She got really traumatised. For a father to see his daughter suffer like that, it’s very difficult. Every time a nurse came into her room, she would rise up in her bed and say, “No, no, no!” The first five days, she wouldn’t allow anyone to touch her except me. If the doctors wanted to take her temperature, I had to do it. It couldn’t even be Claudia [wife].
I did not go with the team to train in Ireland. As a father, I wanted to stay at the hospital every single hour of the day.
But every day, I drove into Carrington. I trained for two hours on my own, and then I went back to the hospital. When the team was back from Ireland, I was at training on Saturday. I didn’t know if I would be selected for the game. But I’m playing for United. I had to do my job. I had to know that I had done everything I could to be ready.
Fortunately, the operation was a success, and after that my daughter only wanted mom mom mom. A week later, she was back home, watching daddy play on the TV. When she watches me, she points to the badge and says, “United! United!”
We raised her right.” ❤️

Lot of new followers lately, so hey. I'm Michael Redd.
Some of you know me from a Final Four run at Ohio State almost 30(!) years ago, some from my stint with the Milwaukee Bucks (and Phoenix Suns), and some from my place on the 2008 Redeem Team. That said, many of you likely have no idea who I am, and that's cool too!
Since I retired from the NBA, I've been building. Ventures, investments, startups. Trying to find the next good idea and the people brave (crazy?) enough to build it. I've also been hanging with my family, been active in select charities and foundations, and been getting good (humbly, ha!) at golf.
Recently, I've been sharing sports takes on here and other platforms.
NBA, WNBA, college, some NFL and MLB. The welcome's been warmer than I expected and the internet clearly has a lot of hoops takes...and knowledge. Having a blast with it at the moment, honestly.
There's no real end goal or play in joining social after all these years. No agenda or item to sell. Ideally, I really just want to share what I know, tell some old stories, show love for the players out here doing it now and the OGs who did it before, and just talk ball with good people.
Glad you're here.
And if you made it through all of that writing and stream of thoughts, I think you might like it here, ha.
iShowSpeed reveals he has his cameraman walk his entire stream route beforehand just to test the internet
“Sometimes I will have my cameraman go through the whole route of my whole stream literally have him drive around or walk around the whole route just to see if the bitrate is fine”
“I will have him see if the whole internet is fine and if it’s fine good to go if it’s not we have to reroute the place”
“Internet is really the key cause I’m a live streamer and I can’t live stream without no internet”
When Kieran Richardson was coming through at Manchester United, he was doing it a little differently to most of the other young players.
United wanted him to sign a professional contract.
His team-mates were already signing theirs.
But Richardson and his dad did not want to do it until he felt he had properly earned it.
“I don’t want to be a pro until I’m worthy of being a pro.”
So while other young players were suddenly earning proper money, Richardson was still on about £180 a week.
Then, on his 18th birthday, he was named on the bench for United in the Champions League.
It was away to Olympiacos in October 2002.
United were winning 3-2.
Every player who got on the pitch that night was due a win bonus.
£12,000.
For Richardson, that was life-changing money.
“I’m the guy who is on £180 a week.”
The game was almost finished when Ferguson suddenly turned to him.
“Kieran, get on the pitch now.”
“No warming up.”
Richardson started scrambling to get his kit sorted, knowing there were only a couple of minutes left.
“I’m like, ‘s***, get on quick.’”
Then, as he ran past Ferguson to go on, he got the birthday message.
“Happy birthday, son.”
That was it.
A few minutes on the pitch.
A Champions League debut.
And £12,000 landing in the account of a teenager who had been earning £180 a week.
“I saw £12,000, Champions League bonus.”
“Get me down to the Trafford Centre.”
“I’m buying some jeans and trainers.”
Years later, Richardson still saw it for what it was.
“What a nice guy.”
