Important update: the science team competition scheduled for Tuesday 3/14 has been cancelled due to the weather forecast. The same events will take place on April 11th at Masconmet. That will be the last competition of the year.
March competition is (hopefully 🤞) this Tuesday 3/14 (pi 🥧 day), traveling to Billerica High School unless the storm cancels after school activities. Competing in amphibians, building a tight rope walker, and astrophysics/black holes. Good luck to all!
Late results of science team from February: the team placed 8th out of 13 schools. Oceanography placed 11th, instant invention 8th, and parasitology placed 4th! Congrats and great job by all! Overall team is in 7th out of 15 schools after the 4 competitions so far this year.

Results from November: WMHS Science Team placed 6th out of 15 schools. Periscope group 12th place, chemistry escape group 6th place, meteorology 3rd place! Congrats to Patrick, Nand, Sai, and Maggie (meteorology) and the rest of the team! Overall, Woburn is 4th so far this year.
Photos of the periscope aided backwards toss competition. A successful day for WMHS Science Team Tuesday, results will probably be available in a week. Despite the bus breaking down and returning home an hour later than expected, they made the most of the day.
WMHS Science Team travels to North Andover after school today for the first in person competition with all NSSL schools together since March 2020! Good luck to the students competing in chemistry, weather of New England, and the building event (periscope aided backwards toss)!
