On the corner of Burns St., Southeast and H St., Southeast. This is 800 Burns. A lot of stuff is growing out of the property and into the public easement and blocking sidewalk and the grass between the sidewalk and the road is higher than 18 inches in many places. @311DCgov
I live on the 4500 block of Alabama Ave., SE and my neighbors live on 44th Pl. behind me and we share the same alley. None of us got our recycling taken away today. Can someone at 311 look into this about why our recycling did not get taken away today? @311DCgov
@311DCgov@DDOTDC@DCDPW@NatlParkService Great I’m a volunteer with them as well so if stuff is growing out from the park into the city easement, I can bring it up to them.
On Ridge Rd SE between the intersection of Texas Ave and G St., the sidewalks are blocked by branches growing into the city sidewalk from the park. My dogs and I had to almost walk on the road to go around this stuff. @311DCgov
@311DCgov@DDOTDC Thank you so much! I mean, should DPW look at this as well since that falls into the public easement. How does that work? I just wanna know going forward. I’m kind of curious.
There’s been a mattress on the street between two houses on the 900 block of Burns St., Southeast for like the past three weeks. I will call this legal dumping and a potential house for rats. @311DCgov
Here’s more illegal dumping with someone having dropped off a house carpet on the sidewalk in front of the Ridge Road community center on Ridge Road SE. @311DCgov
This is more tree branches growing into the sidewalk. This is directly in front of the Ridge Road community center across the street on Ridge Rd.,, Southeast. @311DCgov
This is on Ridge Rd., Southeast in the bike lanes where I ride my bike and I know others that do as well. It’s completely covered with sticks at this point and debris and the street needs to be cleaned here, especially at the areas around the pedestrian crosswalks. @311DCgov
There’s illegally dumped garbage can (I know it sounds crazy) in the middle of the sidewalk just before you get to the Ridge Road community center on the opposite side of the street have attached a picture of a map so you can see where it is as well. @311DCgov
So I guess this should be reported to DOB because 800 Burns St. SE has overgrowing brush and they’re not mowing near the sidewalk so we have overgrown brush that exceeds what’s allowed in the city. We also have a tree growing into the public space. @311DCgov
This pile of sticks (illegal dumping) and brush is on the 4400 block of Alabama Ave., SE at the intersection of Hilltop Terrace. It’s on the same block as Malcolm X school. It’s been here about three weeks. The neighborhood needs some help picking it up. @311DCgov
@eMTBrides You’re dancing between secular religiousness in behavior and the classical understanding of religion. Listen I can be religious in my approach to daily life and be without what we call religion.
@LauraLoomer@SecWar Your post treats a 22-year legal failure as if it’s a 22-year lack of courage.
That’s the dangerous part. Once the public is taught to see due process as an obstacle rather than a protection, the principle eventually gets applied to people other than terrorists.
