You can never Be a Manchester United fan and disrespect Ronaldo for what he did in Manchester United, You can Support Lionel Messi as your GOAT but if you come and say Ronaldo didn’t do anything for Manchester United it’s simply blasphemous statement and The fact that Other people from Chelsea and Arsenal can defend Ronaldo shows that you’re not really a Manchester United fan, I can never say Rooney or anyone else didn’t do anything for Manchester United even if I dont like them as much as I love Ronaldo, but I will never disrespect them in context of “Manchester United”!
When it comes to Messi vs. Ronaldo conversations, you don’t need to make logical arguments. Just stick to banter or tweet your opinion and move on, because the moment you try to have a logical conversation using facts, figures, and context, most Messi fans will eventually resort to insulting you.
You might prefer Messi because he has more league titles than Ronaldo. I prefer Ronaldo because he has won league titles in England, Spain, Italy, and Saudi Arabia.
You might prefer Messi because he has won the most Golden Boots in history. I prefer Ronaldo because he is the highest goalscorer in football history. He has also scored at least 100 goals for every club he has played for.
You might prefer Messi because he won the World Cup. I prefer Ronaldo because he won five Champions League titles with two different clubs. You need seven games to win a World Cup; you need 13 to win the Champions League. He also won it three times in a row.
You prefer the player with eight Ballon d’Or awards an award voted for by around 100 journalists worldwide. I prefer the player who won five Ballon d’Ors despite not being the media favourite.
You see? It’s all about context. It’s based on preference. You prefer a playmaker; I prefer a goalscorer who decides games.
A lot of Messi fans will insult you simply because Ronaldo is your GOAT. To save yourself the endless back and forth, either stick to bantering with them or tweet your opinion and move on. They’re not ready to see the debate from the angle some of us see it, and that’s fine.
Viva Ronaldo. 🐐
Dear @Cristiano Ronaldo,
It’s hard to put into words what you’ve meant to me. I’ve watched you ever since I was a young kid chasing your dream at @SportingCP . Then I saw you become a superstar at @ManUtd Manchester United, make history at @realmadrid Real Madrid, conquer Italy with @juventusfc Juventus, and continue inspiring millions at @AlNassrFC Al Nassr. I didn’t just watch a footballer I watched a man who refused to accept limits. Your work ethic, your passion, your confidence, and your relentless desire to be better taught an entire generation that greatness isn't given; it's earned. This @FIFAWorldCup World Cup may have been your last, and while every fan dreamed of seeing you lift that trophy one final time, your legacy was never going to be defined by a single tournament. You gave everything every time you wore @selecaoportugal Portugal's shirt. You carried the hopes of a nation and inspired people all over the world. Thank you for the unforgettable goals, the impossible comebacks, the iconic celebrations, the @ChampionsLeague Champions League nights, the @ballondor Ballon d'Or moments, and the memories that will live with us forever. You made kids believe that with enough sacrifice and determination, dreams can become reality. I was one of those kids. Football will move on, but it will never be the same without seeing you on the biggest stage. Generations will grow up hearing stories about Cristiano Ronaldo, but I'll always be grateful that I didn't just hear the stories I lived through them.
Thank you for everything, Cristiano.
Your name will forever be written among the greatest to ever play this beautiful game.
Obrigado, CR7. 🐐❤️
