@ToddsNerdCave Yeah! That’s great news that you managed to get such low latency, and that we can finally use any favorite arcade stick with the Jaguar. Good Job!
@ToddsNerdCave I did some measurements a while ago and compared how fast is joypad processing in the menu of JagGD and in Raptor API and only meaningful data I got besides the above is that JagGD menu reaches 3rd row of joypad state in 9 μs. Raptor in 4 μs.
@ToddsNerdCave It's a matter of the latency of changing joypad row. Raptor API uses DSP to read joypad and JagBT is too slow to respond in time, it takes 500 ns to respond whereas original pad responds in 40 ns on average
@ToddsNerdCave Simply download and run the 'Gravitic Mines (Demo)'. The ship cannot be controlled via JagBT; if you successfully manage to control it, it confirms that your interface is functioning properly.
@ToddsNerdCave How much cheaper it will be compared to the MouSTer? If not, what would be the selling point to justify yet another DB9 joystick/pad adapter (besides adapting SNES pad instead of ubiquitous USB)?
@TheRetroHQ Hi! A question: does Lynx GD have autorun feature? I need to run some cart image non-interactively (as I had to disconnect buttons in one of my Lynxes to test something).
@TheRetroHQ It involves non-trivial amount of work to do a Furnace player driver on a retro machine. The original format isn't easily digestible and some commands require a lot of maths. I was investigating it to make a Lynx implementation, but I didn’t find energy in myself to take it on.
@humblebazooka Why shouldn't it? I even bought second Neo BT to play with friends on two arcade sticks. The only problem I've encountered is with pairing two pads to 3DO BT. It's hard and I'm not sure how to do it as I did it only twice more by chance than consciously.
