Fayetteville State University Launches Bronco Opportunity Scholarship.
The university strongly encourages newly admitted and transfer students from Eastern North Carolina’s most distressed counties to apply. Recipients can be awarded these scholarships for up to four years.
Cross Creek Mall Shooting update:
WRAL has learned an altercation started inside the mall and spilled into the parking lot. Several shots were fired outside. Several vehicles and part of the mall were hit by bullets. No one was shot.
Two persons of interest in police custody.

The incident happened Wednesday off McGougan Road.
When officers arrived, they found Jarel Robinson, 20, and Anthony Davis, 19, dead from gunshot wounds.
No arrests have been made. A person of interest is being questioned.
