Welcome to the Leeds branch of the Women's Rights Network.
We stand for women’s sex-based rights, safeguarding, freedom of speech and women-only spaces. Follow for local action, events and campaigning — and join us in speaking up.
Mr. Davies,
For a brief, fleeting 10-15 years, WE ALMOST HAD IT. The years between 1998-2012, roughly, we were very close, when no one really gave a damn either way. I remember it distinctly. An enormous shift in attitude’s & acceptance had occurred, after the horrors of being gay in the 80’s to the early-mid 90’s.
I was NOT alone in feeling this, even amongst the upper echelons of the ‘Gay Mafia’ I used to hang around with said the same.
The original aim was EQUALITY & we were, more or less, there.
Then along came identity politics, gender ideology & Que*r Theory, which screwed everything up.
Stonewall’s CEO, Ruth Hunt, said in 2014/15, & I quote, that their shift in focus was “known to be controversial, that it would be difficult, that people would LOSE by that & that herself & the staff thought THAT WAS A PRICE WORTH PAYING.” In other words, they KNEW this would receive pushback, yet were unwilling to listen or engage with those of us who had serious concerns.
A subsequent Stonewall CEO, Nancy Kelley, called lesbians “sexual racists” for not including men in their dating pool.
Michael Cashman called for those who had questions, predominantly women, about this shift to be “defecated upon” & there was “no debate” to be had.
And NOW look where we are.
Look around at the utter mess we’re in.
If you’re going to “look at yourself as an idiot”, at least be aware of WHY you might feel that way & what part you, yourself, played in it.
You cannot cheerlead & encourage an ideology that has caused so much destruction & damage, & then pretend to be flummoxed as to the reasons WHY everything has got so much worse.
Just so we’re clear…
This is the second lecture in the series I had planned discussing the themes of my new book, Sex, Gender Identity and the Law (CUP 2026).

@UniofOxford Questions must be asked of the Oxford University Proctors.
Why did they allow protests inside a lecture theatre?
Why do they think it is acceptable to create a hostile and degrading environment for Michael Foran and his students?
What do they think education is for?
As can be seen from the videos in @bindelj's substack 👇, (sent in by students who wanted to LISTEN and LEARN) there is no attempt to discuss or debate from these intolerant disruptors.
Just an angry young man smearing WRN, @SexMattersOrg and @ForWomenScot for daring to speak about women's rights and ensure that organisations actually follow the law.
Nor is there any evidence of @oxforduni ensuring that an academic lecture can take place without disruption. Not good enough.

🚨 DISINFORMATION ALERT 🚨
This 👇 is simply untrue and is scaremongering from Sarah Rees MS of @Plaid_Cymru.
The EHRC Code restricting opportunities to housing, healthcare and social care???
It’s just as well that Senedd Bill to make lying in office isn’t coming into play for a few more years.
Paging @akuareindorf

Here are the utter bellends, doing their usual social justice warrior, Complex PTSD schtick, sent to me by a disgusted student who wanted to LISTEN TO @michaelpforan
We recently had the very great pleasure of speaking with two of the utterly brilliant and brave Darlington nurses @DarlingtonUnion
Here's Bethany, telling us what we know (but many MPs clearly don't!)
Guidance is just that - guidance.
We have the law. And the law is clear- and must be followed.

Here is ‘Sarah Jane’ Baker, a violent male and ex-con who told a crowd to ‘punch a terf in the fucking face’ and who is now gloating on X about going into the women’s pond at Hampstead.
Women occasionally need spaces away from all men, but definitely men like this…
Will politicians really want to try changing the Equality Act 2010?
Just look at what happened to Nicola Sturgeon when she took sides, says lawyer Naomi Cunningham who has worked on some of the most high profile discrimination cases including the Sandie Peggie case against Fife NHS.
And yet, with MPs signing up to register their concern at the EHRC Code of Practice and Plaid Cymru in Wales dithering over its commitment to the Supreme Court ruling we wonder if politicians have learnt the lessons from their Scottish counterparts. It will certainly make for lively discussion at our first national conference: Feminism: What is the Point?
Naomi is scheduled to join the Women and the Law panel: Has the social contract between women and the State been broken?

Posting this again because it keeps playing on my mind.
It is obscene that the BBC AND the army heralded that THIS was ‘the first woman’ on the frontline and it was a massive bloke with long hair who changed his name to Chloe.
What a slap in the face for the real women who broke through the actual barriers in the armed forces.
It seems particularly insulting this week, when we’ve lost our first - and only - female commando in the terrible Navy helicopter crash.
My contempt for men like Chloe ‘opting in’ to womanhood when it suits them (and the BBC who reported it with wide-eyed gullibility) is at an all time high.
RIP Lily-Mae Fisher and her brave colleagues Chris Gayson and Owen Green.
h/t for the clip @Jonnywsbell
It's very disappointing that shouting and pulling silly stunts rather than engaging in reasoned discussion is still being permitted to shut down teaching and learning in a leading UK university.
@Sorelle_Arduino There's been an update. I'm guessing they're now rethinking how they can still monster TERFs but do it more inclusively & less obviously 😇
Employers are learning the hard lesson that discriminating against women on the grounds of their gender critical beliefs may result in expensive, and reputation destroying, legal action.
In 2024, Professor Jo Phoenix won her case against the Open University for direct discrimination, harassment, constructive dismissal and victimisation.
We are delighted that Jo, will bring her considerable expertise as Professor of Criminology to the Women and Law panel at our first ever national conference ‘Feminism: What is the Point? (And she may just mention THAT employment tribunal…).
Has the social contract between women and the State been broken?

Please DM FayeRC if you have been affected by NHSE trans staff policy.
Even after losing the employment tribunal, they are still refusing to follow the law and they continue to discrimate against female staff members.
My legal team have sent a letter @NHSEngland

Deliberate sex discrimination and group claim mentioned. Please DM me if you have personally been affected by NHSE trans staff policy & lack of female-only facilities.
FYI. Businesses can be reported to the EHRC for discriminatory advertising.
Gender critical beliefs are protected in law.

If you are woman in need for female only rape crisis support, female intimate care, female changing rooms you are not welcome at Hex Hairdressing in Manchester
“The only people not invited? TERFs”
This is the moment @BBCkatyaadler says ‘this is not the time’ when a woman asks @JuliaGillard about @salltweets while @HarrietHarman repeatedly says ‘not at all’ in response to Gillard destroying women’s sex based rights
This was a talk entitled Women In Politics
For shame!
