Chaplaincy team have had a great morning at Barrow Christmas tree festival with Hall Orchard Spiritual Council. Thank you @hall_orchard for hosting and showing us round. We are looking forward to your return visit for Christingle.
The day the Bishop came to school…
Bishop Saju visited this morning. He led a collective worship and was very impressed by the children’s knowledge of Bible stories. Then members of Chaplaincy team took him on a tour of the school and finished with a Q&A session. Wow!
We’ve had a lovely afternoon celebrating the successes of our wonderful 2023/24 cohort! We are so proud of what you have all achieved this year and look forward to watching your careers progress! Well done 👏👏
Members of our Chaplaincy Team have been working in partnership with the Spiritual Council at @hall_orchard. Last week they delivered their first joint worship. The focus was aspiration. Great work everyone. Thank you HOPS Spiritual Council. @leicestercofe @LeicesterDbe
Our Chaplaincy team are very proud of the school’s Ofsted report and are delighted that the school’s vision and values were recognised. #penguinpower#rootvalues

We really feel the report reflects the hard-work and commitment of all of the staff at Whitwick St John.
Our Chaplaincy team are doing a wonderful job leading our Thursday lunchtimes in the prayer garden. This week we were joined by Reverend Darren and Stuart.
Thank you so much to @hall_orchard’s Spiritual Council for our beautiful values wind chimes. They look great in our prayer garden! And thank you for welcoming us this morning to see your collective worship and showing us around your prayer garden.
Some members of Chaplaincy Team enjoyed a visit to @Hathern_Primary today to join them for their Easter Service. It was a lovely service. Thank you having us.
A massive thank you to @hall_orchard for inviting us to watch your wonderful Easter service yesterday and for taking us to see where your outdoor prayer area will be. We can't wait to get started on our joint prayer area project!
The Sharing Shed is open every day from 8:00am until 10:00 and then again 2pm until 4pm.
On behalf of the Chaplaincy Team, a huge thank you to everyone for your donations.
We are still a bit short of tinned meat, cereal and toiletries. Any donations are very gratefully received. You can either drop your donations into the office for Chaplaincy Team to sort or take them straight to the shed yourselves.
********* Sharing Shed update********
Thank you for the generous donations this morning. Chaplaincy Team have been busy restocking the shelves ready for pick up time. There are lots of tins of soup, baked beans and vegetables.
This morning, the collective worship team watched a recording of their assembly and evaluated what went well, what could be improved and what they will do next time.
Our Sharing Shed is now open!
It is a place where we can share food and school clothes. Anyone who is in need of food can come and take what they need. Anyone can also donate food.
Opening times are: 8:20-10am and 2-3:30.
