🎊Congratulations to @WhitwickPrimary on their successful bid in Round 1 of the #PeopleZones Grant Fund 2024 /25 🎊

'Enhancing School Facilities' is a sustainable project that will impact #YouthProvision, #AccessToServices, #CommunitySafety, #PrideOfPlace, and #CommunityCohesion for the local community

Deputy Head Teacher, Lee Swales, states that the project addresses a clear gap in the schools current offer where "the funding to revitalise our sports pitch will improve PE provision and inspire a lifelong love of sport and healthy living in our pupils."

"Upgrading the sports court will allow us to share the facility with local clubs and the #community, promoting #WellBeing for all… with floodlights already installed, the facility can be accessed after school hours, making it convenient for evening activities"

With other People Zones Grant Funded projects within #Whitwick increasing the amount of #CommunityHubs available, we can't wait to see how this all plays out ⚽️🏀⛹️‍♀️

⛪ The Day the Bishop Visited!
Yesterday, we had the pleasure of welcoming Bishop Saju to our school. He began by leading a whole school Collective Worship and was really impressed with the children's knowledge of Bible stories. 📖

Afterwards, the Bishop was given a tour of the school by our amazing Chaplaincy Team members, who did a brilliant job! Finally, some of the team joined him for a Q&A session where they learned all about what it's like to be a bishop. 🙌

🏓 Tonight, after weeks of training, two teams competed in the NWLSSP Year 5/6 Girls' Table Tennis event. 🌟
Team B finished 3rd in their group, while Team A won the whole competition! 🏆
Team A will now represent North West Leicestershire at the County Final
