Well, today was kind of a sad day for me - I decided to take down my OO/HO layout, and will be stepping away from OO/HO.

Unfortunately, modeling in this medium just isn’t accessible anymore, and I can’t afford to be buying new models, especially being in college and working.

Hey everyone! I’ve got another Henry 1 idea. According to Awdry, STH 1 wanted a GCR Atlantic when he purchased Henry, so I decided to draw him as an enlarged GCR design, but Gresley-ified, if you will. I imagine Gresley would’ve gotten the idea on official business to the GCR.

-which I think is a nice connection to Henrys Flying Kipper. The 8’s also had 6ft drive wheels, like the Black 5’s, making the rebuild more logical. I wanted a class that emphasize a mixed traffic role, since Henry is presented this way even in his old shape. Hope you all enjoy!

As per my illustrations, Henry’s firebox cladding would’ve been altered by his builder to mimic a wide firebox design, most likely to hide the small firebox underneath and make his flaws less obvious.
