Beekeeping for the sake of bees, pollinating the fruit and veg patch plus surrounding area, honey, wax and enjoyment. Always open to learning and sharing.
My brother’s beehive this week!
He built it last year and attracted the bees with lemongrass oil. He went up to Amish country and bought a bee suit and some tools.
He’s just figured it out a step at a time and seems to be pretty successful so far! 🐝
I told him about St. Modomnoc and the Greek beekeeping tradition of bees building their comb around icons.
For his upcoming birthday, I got him some Humming Meadow goods & made an icon print he can put on a frame…just to see what happens. 🤓
(Thanks for the extra sticker, Hollow Trees. His wife will *love* it!)
