🇮🇱🇮🇷 Iran, Israel, and the Houthis all had a busy night. Here's what happened.
It started yesterday when Israel struck Hezbollah's stronghold in Dahiyeh, Beirut.
Iran's response was swift: 4 waves of ballistic missiles toward northern Israel overnight, sending hundreds of thousands into bomb shelters.
Israel then launched widespread strikes across central and western Iran around 4am local time, targeting air defense systems.
By morning, the Houthis had joined in with ballistic missiles toward Tel Aviv and announced a full closure of Bab al-Mandab, the Red Sea's equivalent of the Strait of Hormuz. Around 12% of global shipping passes through it.
In total, Iran launched 3 additional missile waves over 5 hours.
Trump said his message to Iran was simple: "You've shot your missiles, that's enough, get back to the table."
Iran has now announced a ceasefire, but with a sharp warning: "If Israel resumes attacking Lebanon, we will act with even greater force."
The ceasefire is back, for now. It's been "back" several times before.
