On Tuesday, Sep. 17, a car carrying two people veered off the road and through the bike path fence along Highway 61. The wreck left one person injured and one deceased. WTIP’s Chuck Olsen interviewed a couple from Madison who were first on the scene.
Here’s a look at the ice out status of numerous Cook County MN lakes, particularly those in or near the BWCAW. A few lakes are clear of ice as of April 15 when this was filmed, and there are sure to be more after this week’s expected rain and warm temps!
