We do not agree with the elimination of cash bail.

We do not want the problems and public safety risks here in Douglas County or anywhere Nebraska that these other jurisdictions are facing after bail reform.

NY has eliminated cash bail in a sweeping bail reform bill. 1 of the many crimes that no longer require bail...manslaughter.

Douglas Co Commissioners voted to support a no cash bail. They are requesting the Unicameral create a bill at the State level to eliminate cash bail.
