@LucyDanielleE @YorkCastle Arguably his time in York changed the trajectory of his career. He no longer wrote protest poetry, instead sticking to Romantic poetry & hymn-writing, and he stood down as editor of the Iris and become director of the Sheffield Boiler company... #FictionalYork
