A fantastic result & win in what once was true blue North Yorkshire.
It’s clear that the public, and the Lib Dems, are well & truly putting the Conservatives on notice in what is supposed to be their heartlands.
I’m honoured to be the Lib Dem candidate for Harrogate & Knaresborough.
We deserve better than the scandal & incompetence that we see from the Tories.
We can win here at the next election, with your help.

I asked a question on the topic of devolution, raising the issue of cross border public transport. We know people don’t live/work/study based on LA boundaries, & asked how the new local authority & mayoralty (which will have transport responsibilities) can work with neighbours.
Great to be at Rudding Park Hall for the Harrogate District Chamber of Commerce meeting, where the Chief Exec & Leader of North Yorkshire Council are talking on the topic of the Local Gov changes and the prospective N Yorks devo deal

I will be forever grateful for the opportunities, experiences, and the friends of all political persuasion that I have made through my involvement in local government.
I am thoroughly looking forward to whatever adventures and challenges await me.
I can stand down knowing that our towns are in safe hands and that residents will still get the representation they deserve in the more than capable and competent hands of my excellent Lib Dem Councillor colleagues, Cllr Adele Hayes & Cllr Pete Girt.
This is a decision that I have thought long and hard about, and one that has taken a great deal of time to arrive at.
Knottingley & Ferrybridge will always have a special place in my heart, & it has been the honour of a lifetime to have represented my hometown.
South West Herts, South Oxhey, Ossett, Knottingley, & now York.
Is there anywhere that Kerron Cross won’t stand for election?
Only last year he was saying he would stay & fight for residents in Knottingley after residents rejected him at the ballot box 🤔
Politics is an all year round team sport, & it’s been a fun week attending the Sheffield Lib Dem Dinner & knocking on doors in Harrogate.
Happy to do my bit helping in our top Labour & Tory facing target seats in Yorkshire, both are crying out for a Liberal alternative.
Voter ID will cost our cash-strapped councils a fortune to implement, *to solve a problem we don’t have*, and exclude the least well-off from voting.
This out of touch Govt should be focussing on the real issues - like funding social care - instead. https://t.co/J5Mhk1NOyG
Had a fantastic time at #LeedsPride today!
Lib Dems in “Ban Conversion Therapy In Full” t-shirts 🏳️🌈🏳️⚧️
Labour in “Never Kissed A Tory” t-shirts 🙄
How about we just let people kiss who they want & focus on the real issues 🤷♂️
FWIW Tories are better kissers in my experience 😅
Thankyou from the bottom of my heart to the carers who made it possible for him to be with my gran, they’ve never been apart this long in their 57yrs together.
Careworkers must be recognised for the important work they do & we must ensure their is dignity in growing old.

I finally got to see my grandfather at home after he’s been in hospital for 7 months.
We didn’t think he’d ever get to come home, due to a shortage of careworkers - particularly bad in rural areas inc Eggborough (N Yorks), where they’ve spent most their lives.
