@DanBurmawy Al-Dawab means living creatures in the language usage when the Quran was revealed. See (16:49): “And to Allah prostrates whatever is in the heavens and whatever is on the earth of ‘Dabba’, and the angels, and they are not arrogant.” Doesn’t make any sense if it means animals.
