And that for some reason, crossings on either side of the sand park look totally different?
The standard and care we have come to expect from @StockportMBC
Yes - sort of.
In that the lights are working, but drivers still prioritised when the road is busy.
When the road is quiet the wait seems less.
It gives the wrong impression on priorities if @StockportMBC@SKWalkCycle are serious about active travel.
No.

154 days late.
Even worse, the pointless, illegal and discriminatory chicane on the other side of the park is still there, rendering the working crossing useless. A travesty.

Congratulations to our friends @WalkRideHeatons
Yet another Active Neighbourhood trialled and retained. Super stuff! Get away from the initial noise and you see it changes communities for the better.
But not allowed in Cheadle. We’re not the Heatons, you know.
Some good news from tonight's Heatons and Reddish Area Committee: all three Bee Network schemes have been approved – including the design of a permanent active neighbourhood scheme for the Heaton Chapel trial area. 🥳
It’s closing day for the @StockportMBC ‘access controls’ consultation.
Let’s unblock this great borough and create routes that everyone can access for health & leisure.

*Not happening.
The work is to make a nice smooth, fast route for drivers to keep danger high for the school children and parents that use this route by foot or bike.
Work will be completed before the very late sparrow crossings.
@AndyBurnhamGM@SMBC_chiefexec @cllrdavidm
Work has started on Birdhall Ln/Granville Rd to
- Narrow the ludicrously wide bell mouth junction*
- Install an implied zebra*
- Install a much needed signalled crossing across Birdhall, which is a well used school walk-bike route*
Will only take a week too!
