Martha Zoller has gone home to be with the Lord.

Georgia has lost a great patriot, and those of us who knew her well have lost a true friend. Martha was a woman of strong conviction, clear thinking, and genuine kindness. She used the platform God gave her to speak with courage and to serve her community faithfully for many years.

Every time I spoke with Martha, we always talked about her lovely family — her husband Lin, her children, and her grandchildren. She was deeply devoted to them. She was also passionate about keeping America the greatest country on earth, and she never hesitated to say so.

I will always be grateful to have had the opportunity to support Martha during her 2012 congressional campaign. When that race concluded, I wanted to do something quietly to help. We hosted a small fundraiser in Columbus to assist with retiring her campaign debt. It was never done for recognition — it was simply one friend trying to lighten another’s load during a difficult time. What has meant the most to me is that, even a decade later, Martha never failed to mention that kindness with gratitude. That spoke volumes about the kind of person she was.

I remember my last lunch with Martha at the Collegiate Grill in Gainesville after being on her show. It was a good conversation, and I was able to thank her personally for the support she had given me during my reelection as Georgia Republican Chairman. I’m glad we had that time together.

In the past few weeks we spoke on the phone about her health issue and she sounded like herself — even in alleged “retirement” making plans to do so much more for her beloved North Georgia community.

Martha loved the Lord, loved her family, and loved this state. While we grieve her passing today, we do so with the sure hope of the Resurrection. As we profess in the Creed, we believe in the resurrection of the body and life everlasting. We commend Martha to the mercy of God and trust that she now rests in the peace of Christ. One day, through that same mercy, we hope to be reunited with her in the joy of eternal life.

To her family, please know that you are in our prayers. May God surround you with His peace.

Martha, thank you for your friendship and for the light you brought to so many. May perpetual light shine upon you.

Statement from Josh McKoon, Chairman of the Georgia Republican Party @GaRepublicans

As Chairman of the Georgia Republican Party, I stand with those demanding full transparency and integrity in the counting of votes for the upcoming Special Election in Congressional District 13.

In Gwinnett, DeKalb, Rockdale, Newton, Henry, and Clayton counties, every vote must be cast and counted on official paper ballots by sworn Georgia election officials — not outsourced to private vendors or conducted through closed systems. Counting must occur in public view with a clear, protected chain of custody for the physical ballots themselves.

Official ballots are paper documents. They are not images or pictures transmitted over the internet. Processes that substitute digital images for original paper records, or that move tabulation behind closed doors away from public scrutiny, do not meet the standard of trustworthiness and verifiability that Georgians deserve.

I call on the Secretary of State’s office and the State Election Board to ensure that all guidance and procedures for this election uphold Georgia law and prioritize the security and auditability of physical paper ballots. County election officials in the six CD13 counties should reject any directive that would compromise these fundamental safeguards.

Georgians have the right to elections they can trust.

Paper ballots, publicly counted by sworn officials with protected chain of custody, remain the gold standard for confidence in our results. The Georgia Republican Party will continue to advocate vigorously for these principles.

Georgia Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger is blocking the State Election Board from accessing the Election Night Reporting Room.

This is an attack on transparency. Georgians deserve real oversight.

At this point, a Federal Civil Rights investigation is more than appropriate. It's required.

Evidence of criminal electoral fraud. Judicial and official obstruction for 4 years. This has massively damaged trust and confidence in County and State elections.

Glad you tagged those who might focus on these complaints and move them to a more curious authority.
