Golden Tempo’s yearling groom, Bryce Lee, has quite the reaction to seeing his boy win the Kentucky Derby. Golden Tempo is our 11th Kentucky Derby winner raised @claibornefarm in the last 100 years. Many thanks to a wonderful staff that takes great care of our horses!
Behind every Kentucky Derby winner is a special mare❤️
Meet Carrumba, the dam of Golden Tempo and a graded stakes winner in her own right. She calls @claibornefarm home and is making her mark in the breeding shed after producing a Kentucky Derby champion.
💛🌻Richard J. Hancock - father of @ClaiborneFarm founder A.B. Hancock Sr. - bred and co-owned 1884 @PreaknessStakes winner 𝗞𝗡𝗜𝗚𝗛𝗧 𝗢𝗙 𝗘𝗟𝗟𝗘𝗥𝗦𝗟𝗜𝗘 (Eolus). The colt was trained by and co-owned with Thomas Doswell. Claiborne later adopted Doswell's "orange" silks.

Charlie Oliver helped bring Blame into the world.
Kevin Lay has been the Blame's groom for 16 years.
Walker Hancock worked with Blame as a yearling.
All three followed him throughout his career, cheering every step of the way, and have remained steadfast supporters during his time as a stallion at stud.
It's hard to believe the 2010 GI Breeders' Cup Classic winner, who was crowned the 2010 Champion Older Horse, turned 20 this year. His official birthday is May 2.

So Happy (3yo colt by Runhappy out of So Cunning, by BLAME) punches his ticket to the @KentuckyDerby with an authoritative victory in the G1 Santa Anita Derby going 9 furlongs on the dirt.

❤️#FoalFriday@ClaiborneFarm & Adele Dilschneider's War Front mare Vigor recently foaled a filly by Prince of Monaco.
From the Claiborne female family tracing back to Rough Shod🇬🇧, the granddam is full to champion Blame and half to MSW Tend.
Let’s call a spade a spade: every stallion is going to have “nice” foals. The only thing that matters long-term is if they go on to win big races.
But it sure does build excitement for Prince of Monaco’s future to see so many well built foals continue to develop like this one 🤞🏼

Cracking colt on the ground! 😍 A striking son of Prince of Monaco 🇲🇨 out of the maiden mare Lady Arsinoe (POTN), foaled last week at Atlas Farm. This colt is a serious statement piece — a big endorsement not just for the mare, but for the stallion himself. You never quite know what a young sire will throw, but if this foal is any indication, Prince of Monaco will be in serious commercial demand by next November. @claibornefarm 📸@annancurlin
🇲🇨 Prince of Monaco 🇲🇨
Physical perfection with top class speed and precocity. You don’t see many “2s” on Thoroughmanager - Prince did it twice.
For some context, best lifetime TM figures for stallions entering second season at $15K+:
Prince of Monaco - 2 (twice)
Cogburn - 2 (once)
Domestic Product - 2 (once)
National Treasure - 2 (once)
Arabian Knight - 3
Kingsbarns - 3
Newgate - 3
Timberlake - 3
Dornoch - 4
Muth - 4
Seize the Grey - 6
Johannes was trying to get Blame to play with him for a good 5 minutes before it finally worked 🤣
Watch until the end and keep in mind Blame is 20 years old (yes, 20 🤯)

The win marks 1️⃣5️⃣0️⃣ graded stakes winners born and/or raised on the farm since the foal crop of 2000.
Congratulations to the connections, including breeders AR Enterprises and Edward Easton!
@thestaggieman Blame won 4 races from 5 starts at Churchill, including the BC Classic, Stephen Foster and Clark Handicap. Shameful he isn’t even listed. He continues to be the most under appreciated horse of all time by racing fans.

Golden Tempo (3yo colt by Curlin out of Carrumba) rallies from the back to win the G3 Lecomte S. in just his second start going 8.5 furlongs on the dirt @fairgroundsnola.

🚨 The first PRINCE OF MONACO foal has been reported, and it’s a strong filly out of @WasabiStables mare Itgetsgreaterlater (by Justify).
The mare’s 2nd foal, by Gunite, was a $160K session topper last November @keenelandsales.
Congratulations to Wasabi team, including Michele and @TKKuegler and George Adams!
