luckily I could salvage the HDD and get my photos, but this laptop is less than two years old and shouldn’t just be crashing like that. Zero support from Dell because the one year is up.

@DellCares I’ve had two laptops from Dell and they’ve both had parts fail after the warranty (one year) was up. They’ve both made it so it wasn’t worth it to pay and fix the issue. This makes me want to stay as far away as possible from Dell in the future.

My most recent experience was earlier this year coming back from a 6-month trip around the world. I had all of my photos (I’m a Photographer) from the trip on the HDD, but the day I arrived back in the states the laptop just crashed and never booted back up...
