Incredibly poignant that Taylor Swift's wedding (closed off for only the elite) seems to be a better representation of American culture for its 250th than the public celebration in DC.
@carter_ae@mcmansionhell A lot of games have similar systems that attempt to react to the player, iMUSE in secret of monkey island was the first iirc, but they still are limited by what the game can detect and the music samples available to pull from. Always cool whenever it's pulled off well though
The world’s first trillionaire made a pedophile rapist the president of the United States and then personally made sure starving children couldn’t get food and medicine, with 14 million deaths projected from his actions alone. He’s possibly the most evil person in history.

1 car crash and 2 of the most difficult but greatest months of my life.
I’m an emotional mess tonight but I just want to say, no matter how dark a place you are in. It can and WILL get better. 2 years ago I was in the darkest place in my life, 2 years later we have made history.
Thank you to everyone who believed in me. I love you all very much. I’ll do a post when I’m able to process what’s just happened. MENTAL HEALTH MATTERS ❤️
Would you then hold ground floor units available for disabled people like we do parking spaces? Or would disabled people have to compete with everyone else for fewer homes? Either way seems bad. Of all the problems facing American housing, the ADA is not one of them.
It would be much better to increase accessibility for *some* units, like on the ground level, but not make the requirements need to apply to EVERY unit.
And yes, that tradeoff does mean that those who have a friend or family member with disabilities will either have to also live on the ground floor ... or that they, unfortunately, won't be able to host Thanksgiving dinner on the 5th floor apartment of the 750 square foot 1 Bedroom apartment located at the end of a long hallway
@madsagascar Honestly, Tenet did this for me. When it got to the midpoint of the movie and you realize the whole movie is a palindrome was wild. Also trying to figure out how one possibly starts to choreograph the airport fight scene.
1. These rules are design 101 and all of the examples posted follow most if not all of them
2. Literally the line following this says that there are exceptions to all of these rules
3. Good Flag, Bad Flag was created for people with no design experience not professional designers
I really hate this framing. Imagine if I said "school shootings wouldn't be an issue if people showed self control behind the trigger". The problem is with modern vehicle design. Bad drivers only exacerbate the issue.
Pretty sure most people have a budgeted max that they can afford to pay on rent prior to looking for a place to live. If there aren't any beautiful buildings in that price range, it seems really disingenuous to blame it on the renters.
A key reason most new buildings are ugly:
Notwithstanding what they say, few renters are are willing to pay sufficient incremental rent for *really* nice exteriors to make creating them financially feasible
Ohio drivers are not worse than those in any other state. Unfortunately, state government just uses residents as a convenient ATM machine with our ridiculous ticketing regime. It’s a problem, and I’m working on legislation to address it.
