here honestly to keep up with political happenings throughout the state of Ohio, and the nation.
@rukky_nate Invest the rest over multiple accounts, and live off interest.
I honestly would probably keep working my career even. No major or crazy changes to every day life
@rukky_nate Honestly, give me the cash, even if it "only $250 million" after everything.
Take $1.5 to basically pay everything off, but wife n i new vehicles and completely redo everything in our house. Then, what do I need to blow stupid amounts of money?
@Leonajardinho I mean if he paid off, and paid cash for the house, appliances, a vehicle, etc... smart move.
Thats what I would do. Pay my mortgage off, replace all my appliances, do some remodeling/structural upgrades to the house, a new vehicle for my wife and I...
@NeosStonerFrend@SenTinaSmith The majority of the grid is already interconnected to begin with. These maps show how the grid is laid out basically, with all your various ISO's that manage line/load daily in various regions, with there being 3 main interconnects.
@JoshEakle "You're probably a Democrat" ππ€£
While he turns around, as a Republican, to shout that Democrats started slavery lol. Yet dont see many Dems supporting the Confederacy either...
Also love the "as a Northerner"... bro why are you there supporting and honoring the Confederacy?
@KimberlyP75625@MorePerfectUS Thats becuase the investor owned utility up there has not spent a dime into fixing/updating/modernizing anything in Greater Cleveland since it was built several generations ago. And then CPP doesn't get enough funding from the city to modernize its grid either.
@Mock43754040@JaredRyanSears create more money in tax revenue, higher wages, better everything. Considering PLA's are in (or were) in place for the vast majority of all of it, that will expand unionism in the US. Which will, in turn, lift wages across the board for all working class Americans
@Mock43754040@JaredRyanSears Those $2T in bills (mainly the infrastructure, chips n science and IRA), whipe massive investment and spending by the federal government, will pay dividends with reinvestments back into the US with manufacturing, updated infrastructure, broadband expansion, which in turn will
@Techniacus We don't treat, fertilize, or spray our yard for anything aside with tick and flea spray across the grass. Other than that, all natural, full of clover, dandelions, and flowers.
Swear we're about one of the only houses in the neighborhood loaded with fireflies.
@RobHogan400@TiffinOhioNews Federal policies aside, the state of Ohio and its PUCO are responsible for ensuring the utilities pass reliability tests and upgrade the systems.
@RobHogan400@TiffinOhioNews But it is each individual states PUCO's that set rates, enforce upgrade standards onto these utilities, and dictate what they must or should do
@ClermontCLC@TiffinOhioNews Or maybe hold the the utilities to a higher standard and make them invest more heavily into the system that is literally falling to the ground in a majority of places??
And maybe stop allowing those utilities to bribe everyone?
@RobHogan400@TiffinOhioNews Umm Republicans have controlled basically a trifecta in 12 of the last 16yrs. Aside from Strickland, and few Dems from 07 to 11, the GOP has dominated the all statewide offices, the statehouse and the state court for nearly 30yrs straight
@LJFirman@Fxhedgers States issue the CDL, the DOT issues the medical card that allows an individual to drive interstate.
All drivers go through a federal database as well, called Clearinghouse, which tracks every driver nationwide. Clearinghouse has been compulsory since 2021 or 22
