Jimmy Carter appointed the 1st Black Assistant Attorney General for Civil Rights. Drew Days was a @NAACP_LDF civil rights lawyer who would go on to serve as Solicitor General under Clinton. When we talk about Jimmy Carter’s legacy, we must talk about his tremendous appointments.

FWIW, this propaganda campaign against Haitian migrants is really, really painful. For a while, but especially this past year, things have been terrifying and heartbreaking for all of us, and to be baselessly, racially smeared for political points is just so cruel. And scary.
