The sensors cover activity, sleep, RHR, HRV, breathing. Voice logs capture Rx meds adherence, meals, mood, ets.

On-device LTE (no extra carrier plan) can ping trusted contacts with location, battery and vitals. The app uses AI to turn streams into “what changed / what matters / what to do.”

🚨 Breaking ... 𝐁𝐓𝐇𝐁: 𝐀 𝐂𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐥 𝐂𝐚𝐬𝐞 𝐑𝐞𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐭

I've identified a new disease: no AI, lab equipment, or PhD in biology required; just a timeline and good old-fashioned pattern recognition.

The disease is BTHB-26 ... more formally known as Big Bros Hubris-2026, but BTHB will probably stick.

🧑‍⚕️Presenting symptoms from three recent cases:

Case 1⃣: Leading AI CEO says AI could compress up to a century of biological progress and potentially cure most human diseases in 5-to-10 years.

Case 2⃣: Prominent tech billionaire drops a three-year clock for humanoid robots besting the world's surgeons and tells med students to consider other career paths.

Hmm, checking notes, and this presents like previously diagnosed AIGFRH-2016 -- AI Godfather Radiology Hubris?

Case 3⃣: A celebrated futurist predicts an age of radical abundance in which AI-driven plenty makes scarcity itself obsolete, for all of us, yup, 8.3 billion people.

🤔Commonalities ... three men, three platforms, and one recurring pathology: The assumption that curing disease is primarily a software problem and warp speed now exists.

🔬Diagnostic critera (must meet at least 3 of 5):

→ Collapse admitted speed of AI-enabled discovery + faster analysis BUT hallucinate solving biology.

→ Selective amnesia that forgets clinical trials, regulatory pathways, and manufacturing capacity.

→ Delusional state that access is frictionless and supply chain issues, prior authorizations, health systems, and formularies don't exist.

→ Assume multiple podcasts = peer review.

→ Predict futures with extraordinary confidence and zero hulimity about biological complexity.

🏥Counsel for BTHB patients you may meet includes gentle reminders that:

- Biology doesn't move at the speed of AI and GPUs.
- Clinical trials are regimented and regulatory bodies, not benchmarks, hold the power of approval.
- Regulators exist because failing fast and breaking things doesn't work on humans.
- Geopolitics doesn't defer to keynotes and that new therapies can take a decade or more to reach low- to middle-income countries, if they ever do!

This last global picture point can be added with more assertiveness as #HealthEquity is a real thing.

None of this means AI is irrelevant to medicine or healthcare. Au contraire. This handle is almost five years of proof that it does. AI is foundational to the future of medicine and care.

AI is already changing drug discovery, diagnostics, primary care, chronic care, medical education, and patient empowerment, not to mention the administrative, resource, and profit-sucking structure of institutional and complex care systems the world over.

⏳But this doesn't happen in moments, it takes time.

Here's the global public health risk ... 🌐

Every “cured in a decade”, "you'll live to 150", and "poverty will he history" prediction that doesn't land becomes another super-spreader event to fuel the real and growing virus of AI BACKLASH.

And this real risk comes just as AI is beginning to deliver at scale and become the clinical OS of healthcare.

💊 Treating treat BTHB:

1 - Demand less prophecy, insist on more proof.
2 - Think claims through, reject BTBs sensationalism.
3 - Respect opinions, but default to reveging facts.

Finally, you may wonder, is BTHB fatal?

Thankfully, no. It can be very chronic in a small subset of people, but, daily dosesof reality, deconstrcution of hubris by subject-matter experts, and the scrutiny that can often balance out IPO hype often keeps it in check.

This is the best way to avoid an AI BACKLASH pandemic.

There is a reason, okay maybe 400,000 of them, why Dr @EricTopol is widely followed and reposted. 😉

However, as impressive as this milestone is, I think his “currency” is his ability to translate complex medical and scientific findings into understandable language and meaning for patients and healthcare professionals alike.

One more thing, his books and Ground Truths writing and podcasts reveal his most endearing quality and value, IMO … that being his curiosity.

He keeps asking WHY on a daily basis and in so doing, grows his audience and makes us all a little more smarter and a lot hungrier to learn.

Curiosity, not content, is king.
