@davidm3329 @MarkMcC64572225 I'll be going to the open day tomorrow with an open mind and I'll be listening intently and I hope they do say that's the point of their trial because if it's not and a beef farmer can't compete for leased land to grow their business, then it's all over anyway

@davidm3329 @MarkMcC64572225 I think if you want a demo farm to have farmer buy in, the farmer needs to be able to relate to it and say, I could do that at home and help improve things.
Instead all we can see is the million spent, the farm is then out of reality and goes over our heads.

@RidgwayDuane We get paid more for better grading animals here in Ireland, anything from 6 cent extra up to 30 cent per kg depending on the grade of the carcass.
Poorer grading animals are deducted from 12 cent to 30 + cent per kg. So that dictates our breeding decisions here
