Trump wants to create a national database of every registered voter in the country.
Then, he and the GOP want to decide who gets to stay on it.
“It’s a way of essentially taking over the voter registration process,” Marc Elias says, “or, more precisely, taking over the results.”
Trump told Leslie Stahl something years ago that everyone should hear.
She asked Trump he kept calling the media fake news.
He said, I do it because I need to discredit you, so that when you say negative things about me, nobody believes you.
That is EXACTLY what he’s done.
The problem everyone has with him is that most of us grew up with values, ethics, and integrity.
That is not Donald Trump.
He figured out a long time ago that he can bully his way through any rule and if he keeps pushing harder and harder, people will relent.
For most of his life they did, but we must stand up against it.
Step 1: Remove filters in Reflecting Pool because Obama put them in.
Step 2: Give your criminal neighbor who runs "Greenwater Services" a $20 million no-bid contract to paint the pool.
Step 3: Fill the pool with water from the Potomac River, the phosphates from which cause algae blooms.
Step 4: Freshly sealed pool and extreme heat result in a super scum event
Step 5: Direct National Park Service to dump hydrogen peroxide into the pool which causes the paint to peel.
Step 5: Deploy US National Guard to stop people from taking photos of the swamp as a perfect metaphor for the administration.
Step 6: Blame someone else.
Scientists in Atlanta were stopped from criticizing the Trump admin at a scientific conference, so let me do it here:
Trump is destroying biomedical research in America, and it will take decades to get back on track.
Spread the word. Stand up for science.
Trump threatened to have me hanged over a 90-second video I made. I'm a sitting United States Senator and spent decades serving this country, and it didn't matter. Keeping your head down will not keep you safe. Staying quiet will not keep you safe.
I’ve been thinking a lot about the extraordinary outbursts of the President of the United States against female journalists... well, actually against journalists in general and journalism. But it feels like he saves his most childlike behavior and irrational language for female reporters, calling them all kinds of names that kids in kindergarten are given times out for. It’s stunning to me to witness such behavior from any leader, any CEO, any person of influence or importance. I’ve never witnessed someone like this raging, this weekend with @meetthepress host @kwelkernbc, just last week in the Oval Office with @cnn’s @kaitlancollins, calling women stupid or piggy, telling them to “smile”, calling them darling, demeaning their credibility. Every good man should denounce this behavior. Every person should be able to stand up for their colleagues and say “No more.”
Imagine this man screaming like this at your daughter, your wife, your sister, your mother... would you stand for it? No, you wouldn’t! And neither should any of us. It’s unacceptable and undignified. Period. End of story.
🚨WHAT A CONTRAST!
At the same moment Trump ran from questions on Meet the Press Hakeem Jeffries sits on FOX NEWS and holds his own the entire time:
"It's very interesting... you haven't asked me a single question about the hatred, the xenophobia, the Islamophobia, the outright racism that we see being peddled by actual members of Congress in the Republican conference.”
Then he delivered the knockout punch:
"Republicans promised to lower costs on day one. Costs haven't gone down. Costs have gone up."
🔥
Scripture guides us, "To answer before listening – that is folly and shame."
When you listen to our people, you can learn about the things that matter most. Hardworking Kentuckians can always count on me to stop, listen and put their needs first.
If you can't be honest about a basic fact in a confirmation hearing, you're not going to stand up for the truth when it really matters.
Michael Vance had a chance. He didn't take it.
There is a Belgian Alley in the centre of Kyiv.
Recently, a sculpture by Oleksii Stepanov, “Ukrainian Shield,” was installed there.
Hands in the colours of the Ukrainian flag hold a Belgian house, a symbol of cosy Europe.
The hands are pierced by real bullets from the front line.
New article! I wrote about Iran, Israel, the US, and the long history of criminal extremism that led to this point. Also covered: Trump, Kushner, Epstein, and nukes. Take your time — and please share if you find it useful!

James Comer Is an Idiot: Trump Has Not Been Exonerated by Epstein’s Victims
James Comer looked into a camera and said Donald Trump was “completely exonerated in the whole Epstein saga.”
That’s the line. That’s the spin. That’s the con.
And…if you believe that sentence means anything beyond “James Comer wants you to stop asking questions,” then congratulations…you are the exact audience this kind of performance is designed to sedate.
Because “exonerated” is not a vibe. It’s not a television word. It’s not something you get to declare…like you’re awarding a trophy at a county fair.
Exoneration implies a process: evidence gathered…witnesses tested… facts evaluated…and a conclusion reached in a setting where lying has consequences.
Courts. Formal investigations. Adjudication. Something that resembles...reality.
Not a congressman’s BS hot take on cable news.
Here’s the first problem Comer either doesn’t understand…or hopes you don’t:
Epstein’s victims are not a single committee. They are not a unified jury. They didn’t convene in a room…review exhibits…and issue a verdict titled “We hereby exonerate Donald J. Trump.”
There is no such verdict.
There is no such vote.
There is no such body.
What exists are individual accounts…often fragmentary…sometimes contradictory…always incomplete…spread across years, jurisdictions, sealed records, redactions…and documents the public has never seen in full context.
That is the nature of predator networks: partial visibility, controlled access…messy timelines…and evidence that trickles out…not drops like a neat little package for a politician to spin.
Which brings us to the real sleight of hand: Comer’s “exonerated” claim relies on the oldest trick in the political circus…confusing “I haven’t seen it” with “it doesn’t exist.”
If a batch of released documents doesn’t include an allegation, that proves one thing and one thing only: it wasn’t in THAT batch.
Documents can be incomplete.
Records can be withheld.
Material can be redacted.
Investigations can be ongoing.
Witnesses can be silent.
Cases can be uncharged without being disproven.
None of that equals exoneration. It equals: the file is not fully in view.
So if Comer wanted to be honest, he’d say something like: “Based on what I’ve personally reviewed so far, I don’t see evidence in these releases that supports charges against Trump.”
That would be a cautious statement. A limited claim. A grown-up sentence.
But Comer didn’t do that. He used the word “completely.”
He used the word “exonerated.” He spoke with the swagger of certainty...because certainty sells.
Certainty calms. Certainty shuts people up.
And that’s the point.
This isn’t analysis. It’s narrative control. It’s a political fire extinguisher aimed at your attention span.
You can support Trump. You can hate Trump. You can believe accusations. You can doubt them. You can even argue that political opponents weaponize the Epstein story. Fine.
But...you don’t get to counterfeit a legal conclusion with a cable-news declaration and call it “truth.”
“Completely exonerated” is not a finding.
It’s a line of bullshit.
And James Comer is counting on you to confuse the two.
WHAT MATTERS MOST RIGHT NOW IS:
1. THE NAME OF THE ICE AGENT WHO SHOT THE UNARMED WOMAN THREE TIMES IN THE FACE AND HEAD. TODAY.
2. HIS FULL LAW ENFORCEMENT RECORD, COMPLAINT HISTORY, TRAINING. PERSONAL RECORDS.
3. HOW HE WAS HIRED, RECRUITED OR BROUGHT INTO ICE AND WHEN.
🚨MAJOR BREAKING: A federal appeals court has just ruled that Trump's tariffs are UNLAWFUL and INVALID. Trump’s central economic policy has now been HALTED.
Chris Hayes: This a “huge blow to the White House and its agenda and a big win, I would say, for everyone else.”
Also, this is a damning indictment of Freddie and Fannie under government control that mortgage fraud is apparently so widespread and bolsters concerns about the government expanding its hands into the private sector.
I don't know about you, but I'm tired of politics impacting things that should be nonpartisan issues. Helping families afford rent, access health care or keep their kids safe should be the focus of every leader – regardless of party – and that's exactly where my focus remains.
