@oliviachow Why is transit in this city such a disaster? I’m just trying to get home to liberty village. Went right past my house on a go train from Kitchener but you won’t build a stop there. Go train isn’t running due to an accident. Streetcar short turns at Bathurst. Useless.

@metrolinx @GOtransit I thought you said you were expanding GO service to the Ex this year, and yet here I am once again fighting just to get home on a 2x/hour LW train with no additional service. This is still less frequent than an avg day prepandemic. @torontostar @CTVToronto

@oliviachow @ausmalik I’m tired. It’s been a long flight and I have luggage and I just want to get home. Why are you preventing me from doing that just because I live in liberty village and don’t own a car? Are you seriously making me lug my luggage through hordes of humanity?

@oliviachow @ausmalik It’s 4 am. I have to get to Pearson for a flight, but I live in Liberty Village. Why do I have to walk 10 minutes alone in the dark to catch an uber just because there was a soccer game in my neighborhood three days ago???

Thanks to this decision I can’t walk to work when the weather is nice, but i also can’t take transit home if a game is on. So how are you accommodating those of us who will be shut in?

@oliviachow The closure of the bentway for 3 months of summer to accommodate 3 weeks of soccer is an inaccessible barrier to pedestrians who have no other direct, non-windy east-west route to the core south of King. Why block us for 75% of summer for an event we didn’t ask for

@GOtransit @Metrolinx Why is it that the last LW train that arrives at union before 9 am is always 10 coaches long instead of 12? Do you monitor your ridership? It’s not 2020. Restore rush hour service.

@oliviachow @ausmalik Despite doubling in size in a decade, Liberty Village still has less transit service than 5 years ago - constant TTC and GO closures, no return to prepandemic rush hour GO service, and now @Metrolinx cut weekend service in half.
